Cerâmica na Quinta de S. Miguel
The exhibition “Cerâmica na Quinta de S. Miguel” takes place in 1988 at Almada’s City Council’s Galeria Municipal de Arte. The opportunity for the show comes with the presence at the recently formed Ceramics department of American artists-ceramists Christopher Gustin, Arnold Zimmerman, Patrick Loughran and Nancy Smith, who represent UMASS – University of Massachussets-Dartmouth. The occasion also marks the beginning of Ar.Co’s intense exchange program with that institution. The participations of Alberto Cidraes, Alda Reis, Alexandra Aires, Ana Vasconcelos, António Bota Filipe, Carmina Martinho, Cristina Matias, Francisco Muralha, Helena Abrantes, Inácia Silva, José Correia da Silva, José da Cunha, Leonor Irra, Manuel Osório de Castro, Paulo Reis and Tory Cascon represent the school’s Ceramics department.
